…[sniff]…smells like leather….[lick lick]…tastes like leather…it must be LEATHER PRIDE WEEK! Yes, it’s here once again to thrill and amuse virtually any taste or proclivity out there. So drag out all that gear, give it a shine and a buff, and get it to any or all of these events coming up over Leather Pride Week. The following is meant to be a short description of each event for those who are unfamiliar with all the activities that are going on. FRIDAY, JULY 31 - Fetish Ball and Kinky Auction! 8pm-Midnight at the Melody Ballroom. We're trying something new this year! A silent auction during the Fetish Ball followed by a live auction on the stage! This is a full on "costume" ball! Dress to impress, and dance the night away. Music by DJ Ronabell. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5 - Wednesday Munch: Come join one of the longest running Munches in the country. This self organized munch has been going for over 13 years and is open to all ages of the BDSM community. If you're not a regular attendee of this Munch, this is the perfect week to come introduce yourself. THURSDAY, AUGUST 6 - Leather Family BBQ : Hosted by the Leather Pride Week 2009 Committee, this is a BYOF event: bring an item to grill, and a side dish to share. There will be a vegan grill available. Join the entire Leather Pride Week Committee as our groups come together at our annual picnic. If you haven't been, then this is your chance to begin a family tradition. In what is a very family-friendly event, we pot-luck together. Bring an entree to grill and a dish to share. Mingle with members from the other groups. Share experiences, every day occurrences, and generalized 'bullshitting.' Drinks, ice, grills (including a vegetarian grill), napkins, utensils, plates, and condiments are supplied by the committee. This is one of our favorite Leather Pride Week events. 6pm-9pm.
